No. 10 Men’s Tennis Blanks San Diego State, 7-0

SAN DIEGO – No. 10 Harvard Men's Tennis opened its three-match Southern California road trip with a dominating 7-0 decision at San Diego State. With its eighth straight victory, the Crimson improved to 12-3, while the Aztecs fell to 6-8 on the season.
 
Harvard breezed to the doubles point after victories at Nos. 2 and 3. Benjamin Privara and Melchior Delloye cruised to a 6-2 win over Liam Spiers and Paul Janson at the second position, setting up Masato Perera and Valdemar Pape's 6-3 decision at No. 3 over Eugenio Gonzalez Fitzmaurice and Philipp Bosse. The nationally ranked duo of David Lins/Daniel Milavsky (No. 89), meanwhile, was locked in a 4-4 battle with Alexander Mandma/Mathieu Josserand at the top of the order when Perera/Pape secured the point.
 
When the action resumed, Milavsky, who is the 27th-ranked singles player in Division I, left no doubt at the No. 1 position, earning a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Bosse. Soon after, the Crimson collected its eighth consecutive win after Mitchell Lee (6-1, 6-1) and Delloye (6-3, 6-3) won in straight sets at Nos. 6 and 5, respectively.
 
Harvard did not let up despite its 4-0 lead as No. 105 Privara defeated Mandma, 6-3, 6-4, at the second spot. Pape was a 6-4, 6-4 victor over Gonzalez Fitzmaurice at third singles, with Rohan Murali putting an exclamation point on the day with his 6-1, 7-6(2) decision vs. Josserand at No. 4.
 
The Crimson's result was its third shutout of the season and its second straight 7-0 victory after downing Quinnipiac its last time out on March 2.
