Women’s Tennis Opens Ivy League Play Versus Dartmouth

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis will begin its run for an Ivy title this weekend as it faces Dartmouth on Sunday, March 30. The match, set for a 2:00 p.m. ET start, will kick off a three-match homestand for Harvard.

What to Know

  • Harvard will begin its quest for the program's 20th Ivy League Championship as it takes on the Big Green this weekend.

  • Last year, Harvard went 5-2 in conference play, finished tied for second, and ultimately earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

  • Following non-conference play, the Crimson sits at an even 8-8.

  • In its last outing, Harvard went 1-1 on its spring break trip to California. It first defeated LMU, 6-1, before falling to UC Santa Barbara, 5-2.

  • Against LMU, the Crimson began the day by securing the doubles point before tallying wins on the top three courts, along with courts five and six.

  • Despite the loss to UC Santa Barbara, Stephanie Yakoff put the Crimson on the board with her first ranked win of the season, defeating the No. 105 nationally ranked singles player in straight sets.

  • Kavya Karra holds the most singles and doubles wins of any Crimson player in the 2024-25 season, with 17 in each category.

The Crimson will continue its three-match homestand against Princeton and Penn on Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6.
