Men’s Volleyball Plays Charleston in Rescheduled EIVA Matches

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's volleyball will travel to West Virginia to face University of Charleston in its rescheduled weekend series on Saturday, March 8 at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m.

What to Know

  • The Crimson sit at 5-6 overall and 3-1 in conference play through the first half of the 2025 season. 
  • Harvard has now started EIVA action with a 3-1 record in the last two seasons.  This year, the Crimson were victorious against No. 17 Penn State before dropping Sacred Heart with two dominant 3-0 results. 
  • In its last time out, Harvard was tripped up by Merrimack, 3-1, in North Andover, Mass.
  • Miha Okorn and Logan Shepherd led the Crimson's offensive attack in the contest, contributing five kills each. 
  • James Bardin added four kills against the Warriors while hitting .429.  The senior setter also added 10 assists and two block assists.
  • As a team, the Crimson ranks second in the EIVA in aces, averaging 1.58 aces per set. 
  • Zach Berty is a consistent offensive presence for the Crimson, ranking third in the EIVA in hitting percentage while hitting .349 to total 49 kills so far this season.
  • Brian Thomas, who leads the Crimson in blocks, ranks fifth in the conference in the category with his 0.88 blocks per set average. 
  • Shepherd totals 3.00 kill per set to lead the Crimson and rank ninth in the league. 
  • Both Shepherd and Thomas Phung rank inside the top six in the conference in digs by averaging 1.84 and 1.76 digs per set, respectively. 
  • Harvard currently holds a 9-5 lead in the all-time series versus the Golden Eagles and will look to extend it as it aims to sweep the foe for the second straight season.

Next Up

The Crimson will remain on the road next weekend as it heads out west to face BYU in a pair of contests on Saturday, March 15 and Monday, March 17.  First serve is set for 9:00 p.m. ET in both match ups.
