CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's tennis handed out its team awards this week as it hosted its annual year-end banquet. Eight different student-athletes took home awards, headlined by
Kavya Karra earning the most valuable player honor and
Holly Fischer being named the most outstanding player for the 2024-25 season.
"Last year, we came so close to the Ivy title, and this year, we got it done. I couldn't be more proud of this group and the journey we've shared," said
Traci Green, The Sheila Kelly Palandjian Head Coach for Harvard Women's Tennis, following the banquet. "What we accomplished speaks for itself, but it's how we did it – the focus, toughness, and trust in one another – that made it so meaningful. We faced adversity all season, from the first match to the last, and this team truly embodied what it means to 'Bleed Crim'."
"Going 7-0 in a tough Ivy League doesn't happen without exceptional leadership, dedication and grit. We ran our own race stayed true to our goals and trusted our process. In the toughest moments, this team responded and raised its level. Making history together was icing on the cake!"
"Our four seniors have given so much to this program. Their leadership set the standard and helped build a culture that lasts. I'm deeply grateful to our alumni, coaching staff, and support team – this championship reflects the passion and commitment of everyone who believes in Harvard Women's Tennis. We've built something special, and we're excited to keep building."
