CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – No. 16 men's water polo heads to Princeton for the Princeton Invitational this weekend at DeNunzio Pool.
Playing three games in two days on its first road trip of the season, the Crimson will play a pair of games on Saturday against No. 19 California Baptist at 8:00 a.m. and No. 19 Navy at 3:30 p.m. before finishing the trip on Sunday with its second game in as many weeks against Bucknell at 8:00 a.m. No games from the Princeton Invitational will be streamed.
WHAT TO KNOW
- The Crimson finished the Bruno Classic with a 3-1 record for the second time in three years.
- Picking up wins over Bucknell, Gannon, and Wagner, Harvard only fell to No. 3 Fordham during the opening weekend.
- In all three of the victories last weekend, the Crimson pulled away in the fourth quarter.
- Harvard outscored its opponents 13-11 in the fourth quarter over all four games on the weekend.
- With the three wins, Ted Minnis now sits at 297 career victories as the long-time head coach approaches his 300th career victory.
- Last season, the Crimson defeated both CBU and Navy in nationally ranked matchups.
- Defeating both opponents by one goal each earlier in the season, Jack Burghardt scored with 0.26 seconds left to beat the Lancers. Against the Midshipmen, Mason Hunt, Dean Strauser, and Vilas Sogaard-Srikrishnan all netted hat-tricks.
- The Crimson played the Lancers again last season and lost, splitting the season series.
- Oliver Price was named NWPC Defensive Player of the Week after 20 stops in four games over the weekend. Seeing time between the pipes in every game, Price helped lead the Crimson to a strong start to the season. Price made seven stops against Fordham in two quarters and six stops against Gannon in two quarters of play.
- Scoring in three of four games over the weekend, Jack Burghardt found the back of the net four times in the weekend finale against Wagner.
- Dean Strauser was stellar all weekend with goals in all four games, including a hat-trick against both Bucknell and Fordham.
- Felix Pal had the best start among the Crimson rookies after netting seven goals and picking up an assist over the four games.

Harvard heads west for the first of two trips this season to take on UCLA on Friday before playing Long Beach and Cal State Fullerton on Saturday. The Crimson closes the quick trip with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Sunday.
