CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving defeated Ivy opponent Penn and Boston College Saturday afternoon to improve to 7-0 (5-0 Ivy) on the season. The Crimson topped the Quakers (4-5, 2-5 Ivy), 207-92, and the Eagles (3-3), 244-50, with strong performances in all swimming events and a sweep of the diving events.
How It Happened
- Adriano Arioti, Joshua Chen, Maro Miknic, and Sonny Wang led off the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, touching in 1:26.74.
- First-years William Mulgrew and Pablo Martinez posted a 1-2 finish in the 1000 free, with Mulgrew touching first (8:55.13) followed by Martinez (9:06.58).
- Tristan Dalbey won the 200 free with David Greeley finishing just 0.07 seconds behind.
- Arioti had a strong showing, winning the 100 back, 200 back, and 400 IM, posting a personal best of 1:42.02 in the 200 back.
- David Schmitt captured the 200 fly in 1:43.89.
- The Crimson swept the podium in the 50 free, led by Wang and followed by Miknic and Gattnar.
- Miknic added two more wins in the 100 free and 100 fly.
- Mulgrew earned his second win of the day in the 500 free with a time of 4:22.90.
- Richard Poplawski closed out the individual events with a win in the 400 IM (3:53.55).
- The Crimson 400 free A relay team wrapped up the meet with a first-place finish in 3:24.31. The team included Evan Croley, Felipe Baffico, Gattnar, and Schmitt.
- Senior Raphael Tourette swept the diving events, winning the 1-meter (317.50) and 3-meter (331.35), while the Crimson took the top four spots in both events.

Harvard will welcome Yale and Princeton in two weeks for the annual HYP (Harvard-Yale-Princeton) meet. The two-day regular-season finale is slated for Jan. 30-31 at Blodgett Pool and will also be the Crimson's Senior Meet.
