CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University skiing continues its 2026 slate on the alpine side, competing at the St. Lawrence Carnival from Jan. 22–23 at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, N.Y.

What to Know

• The St. Lawrence Carnival opens Thursday, Jan. 22 with the giant slalom and concludes Friday, Jan. 23 with the slalom.
• The Crimson also competed at the event last season, finishing eighth as a team.
• During week one at the Colby Carnival, sophomore Duncan Armstrong placed fourth in the men's giant slalom, while sophomore Skylar Sheppard returned to competition with a sixth-place finish in the slalom.
• Additional strong performances came from senior Luke Kearing, who finished 13th in his first run of the season, and junior Emma Speiser, who placed 30th.
• Senior Luke Kearing and sophomore Skylar Sheppard serve as captains for the alpine team.
• Harvard's alpine roster features 12 student-athletes, including seniors Luke Kearing, Hayden McJunkin, and Olyvia Snyder.
• Sophomore Duncan Armstrong returns after qualifying for the NCAA Championships in 2025.
• Head coach Scott MacPherson is in his ninth season and has earned two EISA Coach of the Year honors.
