Nordic Skiing Back in Action at Colby Carnival

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard University skiing continues racing on the nordic side, competing at the Colby Carnival from Jan. 23–24 at Quarry Road in Waterville, Maine.

What to Know
  • Friday's competition will feature the 7.5k classic interval, followed by the 20k freestyle on Saturday.
  • The Colby Carnival was last held during the 2024 season, highlighted by Rémi Drolet's second-place finish in the men's 20k classic.
  • Last week at the St. Lawrence Carnival, Harvard finished ninth as a team on the nordic side with 205 points.
  • The Crimson tallied four top-30 finishers in the freestyle sprint. Senior Hayden McJunkin, junior Clara Lake, and junior Breagh Bridge led the women, while sophomore Elias Soulé paced the men.
  • Junior Breagh Bridge and sophomore Bennett Hutchison serve as captains for the nordic team.
  • Nordic skiing alum Rémi Drolet '24 has earned a spot on Team Canada for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
  • Head coach Cate Brams enters their second season leading the nordic program.
