CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With the postseason on the horizon, Harvard fencing returns to the Malkin Athletic Center this Friday, as the Crimson host a pair of dual meets against New York University. The women's team will face NYU at 3:00 p.m. while the men's team will compete against NYU at 5:30 p.m.
Admission to the Malkin Athletic Center is free of charge as both matches will air live on ESPN+.
WHAT TO KNOW:
- Heading into the contests against the Violets, the women's team owns a 13-3 record while the men's team is 11-5.
- The Harvard community will also celebrate the Crimson fencing Class of 2026 with Senior Day on Friday, honoring four incredible seniors for their remarkable contributions to Harvard fencing.
- Zoe Kim, Faith Park, Chloe Williams and Eileen Ye represent Harvard fencing's senior class.
- A two-time All-America honorable mention selection and two-time All-Ivy League honoree, Kim played a key role in the Crimson's march to the 2024 NCAA National Championship. A native of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Kim won the 2024 Ivy League Women's Saber Championship as well.
- Park, a native of Lorton, Virginia, played a key role within the Crimson's women's epee squad over her four-year career. The 2022-23 season saw Park earn Second Team All-America honors, as Park is also a two-time All-Region selection.
- One of the Crimson's qualifiers for the 2024 NCAA Championships, Williams played a key role in Harvard's first national championship since 2006. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Williams also posted 10 wins in the Crimson's outright win at the 2025 Ivy League Championships.
- A native of New York, New York and a member of the Crimson side that won the 2024 NCAA National Championship, Ye earned double-digit wins in two seasons of her Harvard career.
- In its last outing, Harvard squared off against several of the top sides in the nation at the St. John's Super Cup in Queens, New York.
- The women's team earned wins against St. John's and Ohio State, while falling short against Princeton, Columbia and Notre Dame. The men's team took down Ohio State and dropped decisions against Princeton, Columbia, Notre Dame and St. John's.
- One of the Crimson's team captains, junior Isabella Chin led Harvard with a 12-3 record at the St. John's Invitational in women's epee competition.
- A native of Manhasset, New York and an All-America Second Team selection in 2024, Chin owns a 27-16 record across three competitions this season.
- Sophomore Colin Heathcock, a member of Team USA's roster at the 2024 Paris Olympics, also shined in the Empire State at the Saint John's Super Cup. A native of Beijing, China, Heathcock posted a team-best 13-2 record at the St. John's Super Cup.
- Heathcock, who made his collegiate season debut at the Beanpot, heads into the weekend with a 20-5 record this year.
- The 2024 Women's Foil NCAA National Champion and a two-time All-America First Team honoree, junior Jessica Zi Jia Guo leads Harvard in wins this season with a 37-6 record.
- Harvard and New York University meet in a dual meet for the 20th straight season. Last year saw the men's and women's team each earn wins against the Violets.
