CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's squash is set to complete its regular season schedule this week with a match against No. 11 Tufts. The Crimson (7-2, 4-2 Ivy) will compete against the Jumbos (11-6) at the Tufts Squash Center on Tuesday night at 5:00 PM. The tilt will serve as the team's final tune-up before the inaugural Ivy League Women's Squash Tournament this weekend (Feb. 21-22).
The Matchup
Harvard and Tufts will compete on the squash courts for the 20
th time in series history on Tuesday. The Crimson owns a favorable 19-0 record against the Jumbos in a series that dates back to 1975.
In the Win Column
Dixon Hill is the only remaining Crimson student-athlete with an unblemished record. The first-year owns a 9-0 mark on the season and owns wins at the sixth, seventh and eighth positions on the Harvard ladder.
Caroline Fouts,
Saran Nghiem and
Lucie Stefanoni are right behind Hill with 8-1 records on the season.
Overall, the Crimson has posted a combined individual record of 61-20 on the season.
Almost Tournament Time
After the match with the Jumbos, Harvard will move on to compete at the first-ever Ivy League Women's Squash Tournament. The inaugural event will take place in Princeton, N.J. and will pit third-seeded Harvard against the second-seeded Penn Quakers on Saturday (Feb. 21) in the semifinal round.
The winner will move on to the Championship match on Sunday (Feb. 22) to battle for the Ivy League Tournament crown.
