Women’s Basketball Opens Second Half of Ivy Season with Dartmouth

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's basketball (12-8, 5-2 Ivy) will play its final of three-consecutive home games against Dartmouth (10-10, 1-6 Ivy) this Saturday, February 7 at 2:00 p.m. ET.    The contest against the Big Green will kick off the second half of the Ivy slate which will consist of four home games for the Crimson. 

The Last Time Out

  • The Crimson went 2-0 last weekend, defeating Yale, 72-44, and Brown, 61-58.
  • In the second game of the weekend's back-to-back Saniyah Glenn-Bello hit two threes in the final 15 seconds of the game to lift the Crimson over Brown.
  • Outside of her late game heroics, Glenn-Bello also tallied 19 points, six boards, and two steals.  The senior was 5-of-7 from distance in the game, marking a career-high for single game three-pointers.
  • Karlee White continued to be lights out for the Crimson, tallying a game-high 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting.  The junior also recorded four boards, three assists, and three steals.  White averaging 20.0 points on 56.7% shooting across the weekend's two games. 
  • Nina Emnace provided lockdown defense down the stretch.  The sophomore contributed five points and had the team's best plus-minus at +11. 
  • The Crimson shot 39.3% from distance, making 11 threes for its third-highest total this season.
  • Harvard had 14 assists on 24 made fields, led by six assists from Olivia Jones.  The first-year also added six boards and two steals in the game.
  • The Crimson outscored the Bears 20-11 and shot 50% from three in the fourth quarter to complete its comeback.
  • With the win, the Crimson extended its winning streak against Brown to 20.  It has not lost to the Bears since 2015.

Stepping into a Leading Role

  • Abigail Wright and Karlee White have smoothly transitioned into leading roles this season.  The juniors are the top scorers for the Crimson and are each averaging career highs with 13.9 and 13.8 points per game, respectively.  The totals rank inside the top 10 in the Ivy League.
  • Wright is also the team's leading rebounder, averaging 6.7 per game to rank sixth in the Ivy League.  More specifically, the junior forward attacks the offensive glass and is currently the 14th-best offensive rebounder in the nation with her 4.0 per game average. 
  • Not only is White averaging a career-high but she is also doing so at an incredibly efficient rate, shooting 53.8% from the field.  The percentage ranks as the third best in the conference. 
  • Before being sidelined with an injury, the junior guard began the year by scoring in double figures in five of the first six games, matching her entire total of double figure from her first two seasons.  Since returning, White has added seven more double figure games to her career total. 
  • The junior pairing was elected as team captains for the Harvard women's basketball team prior to the start of the 2025-26 season. 

Stuffing the Stat Sheet

  • Saniyah Glenn-Bello has consistently provided a presence all over the court during her senior season.
  • Glenn-Bello is averaging a career-high in nearly every statistical category by averaging 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.
  • The senior ranks fourth in the league in blocks, 13th in scoring, and 15th in assists. 
  • After not scoring in double figures in the first four games, Glenn-Bello has now done so in 14 of the last 16 games. 
  • After averaging 17.5 points on 54.2% shooting and 77.8% from three, 4.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, 1.5 steals, and the game-tying and winning threes against Brown, Glenn-Bello recorded her first career Ivy League Player of the Week honor. 

First Impressions

  • Olivia Jones has made a name for herself in the league already, having been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week a league-best six times. 
  • The first-year received the honor on November 10, December 8, January 6, January 20, January 26, and most recently on February 2. 
  • Jones was named Rookie of the Week after a strong two game stretch where she averaged 3.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.0 steals.  Additionally, against the Bulldogs Jones recorded a career high 12 rebounds.   

The Season at a Glance

  • The Crimson's season is comprised of 13 non-conference games and its annual 14-game Ivy League slate.
  • The Crimson played five power conference opponents in the first month of action including No. 13 Michigan (Big Ten), Cal (ACC), Boston College (ACC), Alabama (SEC), and Arkansas (SEC).
  • Harvard competed at two prominent tournaments in November, the Raising the B.A.R. Invitational hosted by the University of California and the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship in Nassau, The Bahamas.
  • Harvard plays Columbia, Yale, and Brown in Lavietes Pavilion during the first half of the Ivy season followed by Dartmouth, Cornell, Penn, and Princeton during the month of February. 

Harvard-Dartmouth History

  • The Crimson has a 59-36 lead in the all-time series versus the Big Green.
  • Included in its 59 wins is a 10-game win streak over Dartmouth.
  • Earlier this season, Harvard defeated the Big Green, 72-47, in Hanover to open Ivy League play.

The Crimson will hit the road for another back-to-back against Yale and Brown on Friday, February 13 at 6:00 p.m. ET and Saturday, February 14 at 5:00 p.m. ET, respectively.
