CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- No. 3 Harvard men's heavyweight rowing welcomes Princeton to Newell Boathouse and the Charles River for the Compton Cup on Saturday morning. HUBC will be on the river the same time as the Harvard-Radcliffe women's lightweights, alternating racing throughout the morning, which begins at 7:50 a.m. The first race featuring Harvard's men's heavyweight boats begins at 8:20 a.m. with the 4V.
The Compton Cup
Harvard dominated Princeton in last year's Compton Cup, sweeping all four races on Lake Carnegie. In the all-time series, HUBC holds a 72-24 advantage with the 2025 win snapping a string of back-to-back Compton Cup wins for Princeton. Harvard returns five rowers from last year's gold medal varsity team, including stroke
Ben Scott. Last year's 5:28.0 finish for the varsity eight was the fastest on record for either side in the match-up.
