CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's heavyweight rowing won the varsity race at the Eastern Sprints Regatta over the weekend to win the program's second straight Ivy League Championship. The gold-medal performance for the varsity eight also secured back-to-back All-Ivy First Team honors for the boat.
Harvard's varsity was coxed by Natalia Tomms and stroked by captain
Ben Scott.
Jack Dorney,
Jordan Dykema and
Sam Woodgate rounded out the stern of the boat.
Alexander Grundy sat fourth, followed by
Leo Bessler,
Jack Hansen-Knarhoi and bow
Josh Brangan.
HUBC has now won 35 championships at the EARC Sprint Regatta and three under head coach
Charley Butt in 2014, 2025 and 2026.
The Harvard heavies compete again at the IRA National Championships in Sacramento, Calif. May 29-31.
