-Loren Sherer scored two goals to lead No. 5
Connecticut to a 6-0 win against the visiting Harvard field hockey
team Wednesday night at the George J. Sherman Family Sports
Complex.
Freshman goalkeeper Cynthia Tassopoulos made 23 saves for the
Crimson (3-2), which suffered its first non-league loss. Sophomore
Carly Dickson paced Harvard with two shots.
Ali Blankmeyer added a goal and an assist for the Huskies (8-0).
Kim Kryzk recorded two assists. Sherer and Blankmeyer put UConn in
control with goals 22 seconds apart in the game's fifth minute. The
Huskies added three more goals before halftime and another in the
second half.
Harvard returns home and resumes Ivy League play Saturday
against Penn.
