Crimson Character: What Makes a Harvard team?

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - "Crimson Character" is a video series featuring Harvard head coaches answering questions about their philosophy and thought process as leaders of their respective programs. Today, we continue with the second of three episodes, asking Ted Minnis (men's and women's water polo), Daria Schneider (men's and women's fencing) and Josh Shapiro (men's soccer) their opinion of what makes a Harvard team.

Last week, the trio discussed how they find and develop leaders.

In the first three episodes of the series, we asked Andrew Rueb '95 (men's tennis), Katey Stone (women's ice hockey) and Jay Weiss (wrestling) for their thoughts on how they would describe a Harvard student-athlete, what do Harvard coaches look for and how they build a culture of excellence.

The next third and final episode featuring Minnis, Schneider and Shapiro will focus on how they turn failure into a culture of winning.
