Harvard Men's Fencing Heads to Chestnut Hill to Compete in Beanpot

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard fencing will head up the road to Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts on Wednesday, Nov. 16, to compete in the annual Beanpot tournament. The Crimson will be looking to win their 14th Beanpot in a row.
 
Harvard will begin competition against MIT at 6:30 PM, then will go up against Brandeis at 7:20 PM and finally will take on Boston College at 8:10 PM in a round-robin style tournament.
 

What to Know

 
  • Harvard men's fencing has won 13 Beanpot's in a row entering Wednesday's tournament.
  • Last year in the Beanpot, Harvard won all three matches, defeating Boston College 20-7, Brandeis 21-6, and MIT 23-4.
  • Harvard won seven of their eight matches at the Air Force Western Invitational which was their first competition of the year.
  • Harvard's foil squad went 8-0 over the whole invitational.
  • Senior captain Kenji Bravo (foil) was dominant in the invitational, winning 21 out of 22 matches.
