BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – On the final day of competition at the NCAA East Preliminary Meet, sophomore
Maia Ramsden ran her personal best in the 1500 meters (4:13.54), placing fifth in her heat and ninth overall to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Ramsden, the Ivy League champion, ran 1:04.50 in the final 400 meters to claim the last qualifying spot in the opening heat.
In the discus throw, junior
Estel Valeanu just missed qualifying for Eugene, placing 13
th overall (52.57m, 172-5).
In the 3000-meter steeplechase, first-year
Isabelle Goldstein placed 18
th overall in 10:11.38, completing a strong first collegiate campaign.
In the final race of her collegiate career, senior
Judy Pendergast placed 27
th in the 5000 meters in 16:20.04.
