CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's ice hockey sent 15 current players to NHL Development Camps beginning this week.
The NHL camps, which do not affect student-athletes NCAA eligibility, are designed to give players the experience of an NHL training camp. Team draft picks, prospects, and free agent invitees participate in on-ice practice and scrimmage sessions, medical and fitness testing and meetings and seminars, as well as off-ice team-building activities.
For most NHL clubs, this summer marks a return to hosting development camps for the first time since 2019.
Harvard will feature 15 players drafted by NHL teams on the 2022-23 roster, the most it has ever had on one team in the Ted Donato era.
