Harvard Men's Fencing Set to Compete in St. John's Invitational

 
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard men's fencing heads to Queens, New York for the St. John's Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 21, their first tournament in six weeks.
 
The Crimson will kick off the event against Penn State University at 10:00 AM. Next, they will compete against Ivy League rival Columbia University at 11:15 AM before facing the University of Notre Dame at 12:30 PM. At 2:15 PM, the Crimson will play Ohio State University. They will then wrap up the invitational against the hosts, St. John's University at 3:30 PM.

  • The Crimson's foil team remains undefeated on the year at 15-0.
  • Harvard is on a 12-game winning streak, their longest winning streak since 2011 when they won 14 in a row.
  • Harvard's record of 14-1 is the Crimson's best record through 15 games in team history.
  • Harvard competed against Penn State earlier this year at the Sacred Heart Invitational, defeating the Nittany Lions 21-6.
  • Harvard also faced off against Ohio State earlier this season at the Air Force Western Invitational, falling just short to the Buckeyes 13-14.
