CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard women's tennis enjoyed consistent success this past season with one of its most historic years in program history. The dominant season came at the half century mark, as the Crimson celebrated 50 years of Harvard women's tennis throughout the 2023-24 campaign.
After starting the season 4-2 the Crimson went on to win a program-best 14 straight matches to conclude the non-conference slate and through the early portion of league play.
Harvard won its first four Ivy League matches including two ranked wins over Yale and Columbia. The Crimson ultimately finished the conference schedule 5-2 to finish second in the league for its best finish since the 2017-18 season.
With a strong resume at the conclusion of the regular season, Harvard earned a bid into the NCAA Tournament, marking its first appearance in the postseason since 2009-10.
Ultimately, Harvard finished the year with 19 wins, marking the most in the
Traci Green era and the most for the program in nearly 20 seasons. The Crimson are poised for continued success for years to come as it will return a majority of its core in the 2024-25 which makes up 90% of its singles victories and 70% of its doubles wins from this past season.
