CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving will open Ivy League action on Friday when it competes at Dartmouth with Cornell. The tri-meet is slated for a 3:30 p.m. ET start at Karl Michael and Spaulding Pools in Hanover, New Hampshire.
What to Know
- The Crimson began is 2025-26 campaign last Friday, when it up against in-state foe Massachusetts. Harvard won all 16 events en route to the 220.50-77.50 road victory.
- Sonny Wang (50 free, 100 free), Adriano Arioti (100 back, 200 back), Joshua Chen (100 breast, 200 breast) and William Mulgrew (500 free, 1,000 free) all won two individual events against the Minutemen. Chen (200 medley relay) and Wang (200 free relay) also tasted victory in the relays.
- The Harvard first-year class experienced early success with their performance at UMass. Mulgrew was a two-time winner, Rem Turatbekov won the three-meter diving competition, and Maro Miknic swam the third leg on each of the winning relays.
- Harvard's meet against Dartmouth and Cornell will mark the first of consecutive weeks against Ivy competition. On Friday, Nov. 21, the Crimson will travel to The Empire State to face Columbia at 5 p.m. ET.
- The Crimson owns an 81-11 all-time record vs. Dartmouth and has won 52 straight head-to-head matchups. Last season, Harvard earned a 222-75 win in Ithaca, New York.
- Harvard will take a 60-2 all-time series record vs. Cornell into this week's action. The Crimson will carry a 17-dual-meet winning streak over the Big Red into The Granite State. Last year, Harvard defeated Cornell, 181.50-118.50, on the road.
- The Crimson will look to be victorious on its conference-opening day for the 31st straight season, a streak that dates back to the 1994-95 season.
