Goudros, Esan Win Ivy League Athlete of the Week Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. – For the fourth time this season, two Crimson earned Ivy League Athlete of the Week in the same week. Senior Izzy Goudros won the award on the women's side, while sophomore Timi Esan is the men's Co-Athlete of the Week with Cornell's Pierre Attiogbe.

In her first pentathlon appearance of the season, Goudros orchestrated a historic showing in the multi, breaking the Ivy League record with 4313 points, surpassing the former record of 4209 set by Martina Salander '16 at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships. A two-time NCAA Indoor Championships qualifier in the pentathlon, Goudros now ranks fourth nationally in the event.

Esan continued his tremendous 2024-25 season at the Crimson Elite. Running in the finals, Esan clocked a time of 6.68, breaking his own school record of 6.70 set earlier this season at the HBCU & Ivy Challenge. A native of London, England, Esan leads the Ivy League in the men's 60m this season.

The Crimson will compete across the country this weekend at a trio of meets. On Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15, Harvard will feature at the Scarlet & White Invite and the Wisconsin Windy City Invite, while select Crimson will compete at the Eagle Elite Invitational on Friday, Feb. 14.
