CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – With only a week to go until the 2025 Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championships in New Haven, Connecticut, Harvard track & field take on two more meets this weekend. The Crimson will feature at the Jim Green Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky and the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3.
WHAT TO KNOW:
- Another weekend of action saw Harvard track & field student-athletes make more history, toppling school and conference records.
- At the 2025 Penn Relays, sophomore Milina Wepiwé reset her Ivy League record in the women's discus throw, doing so with a throw of 59.75m (196'0").
- An All-America First Team selection last year, Wepiwé is the Ivy League Women's Athlete of the Week and now ranks in the top-10 nationally in the event.
- In the men's 400m at the Tiger Track Classic, first-year Harlow Tong set a new school record with a time of 46.55.
- The Crimson is enjoying another stellar year, posting strong national results across on the board.
- On the women's team, four Crimson rank in the top-15 nationally in their events.
- The runner-up in the women's 800m at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships, senior Victoria Bossong leads the nation in the women's 800m, setting a new Ivy League record with a time of 1:59.48.
- Senior Kenneth Ikeji, a two-time All-America First Team selection in the men's hammer throw, currently ranks fifth in the event with a throw of 75.20m (246' 9").
