Women's Squash

No. 1 Women’s Squash Set for Match At No. 5 Trinity, No. 8 Yale

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard women's squash is headed south to Hartford this Friday when to face off with No. 5 Trinity in the annual tilt between the two foes. The top-ranked Crimson (5-0, 3-0 Ivy) will first take on the No. 5 Bantams on the road with the match set to begin at 5:00 PM before returning to the Murr Center to battle the No. 8 Yale Bulldogs (1-3, 0-2 Ivy) on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
 

The Matchup

Harvard women's squash attempts to extend their win streak this Friday when it takes a brief break from Ivy action. Trinity started off strong this season winning their first five matches, but the Bantams have been bested in their previous three matchups against Stanford (Jan. 7), Penn (Jan. 17) and Princeton (Jan. 18).
 
The Crimson will then return to its home courts on Sunday (Feb. 1) to battle Yale in an Ivy League contest. The Bulldogs enter the matchup with a 1-3 record on the season with its win coming against Drexel on Dec. 6. Yale started the second semester with losses to Princeton and Penn on Jan. 17 and 18, respectively.
 

Keep Rolling

The Crimson women's squash team is off to a 5-0 start after defeating No. 3 Stanford (Jan. 22nd) last week. Harvard defeated the foe 6-3 on the road in its toughest match of the season to date.
 
Six student-athletes on the Crimson ladder own perfect 5-0 individual records this season including the top three of Caroline Fouts, Saran Nghiem and Lucie Stefanoni.
 

Series History

In the series against the Bantams, Harvard owns a favorable 46-16 record in this historical bout, with the first match dating back to the 1974-75 season. The Crimson have a 19-5 record against the Bantams since Mike Way has been at the helm of the program.
 
The Crimson owns a 49-15 record in the conflict against Yale that dates back to the 1974-75 season. Harvard is on a 17-match win streak against the Bulldogs dating back to 2012.
 

Recent Achievements

  • Five members of the Crimson competed in the CSA Individual National Championships this past weekend in New York, New York.
  • Sophomore Caroline Fouts reached the finals of the CSA Individual National Championships, her highest finish ever in the tournament.
 

Senior Day

Harvard Squash is excited to recognize its senior class of Saran Nghiem and Molly Stoltz this Saturday when it takes on Yale. The senior day will take place prior to the match.
 

Up Next

Harvard will battle for the Ivy League Championship in two weeks when it hits the road for matches against Penn (Feb. 14) and Princeton (Feb. 15). The critical Ivy matchups are both set to begin at 12:00 PM and will air live on the Ivy League streaming platform.
