NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Harvard Men's and Women's Track and Field teams were both recognized as USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams today. 15 men's student-athletes and 16 women's student-athletes were recognized as USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes.
To earn recognition as an All-Academic team, a team must report a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the 2022-23 school year. The men's team reported a GPA of 3.649, which was fifth for all Division I men's programs this season. The women's team ranked in the nationwide top-30 with their 3.622 GPA.
The criteria for an athlete to earn All-Academic Athlete status includes excellence both in the classroom and in competition. An athlete must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale throughout the 2022-23 school year. In competition, they must have finished the season ranked in the top 96 in any individual event or top 48 in any relay event in indoor track and field or have participated in the NCAA East or West outdoor track and field preliminary meet.
