MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Harvard Men's Swimming and Diving opened the Minnesota Invitational on Wednesday night, competing in two relays at The Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.

How It Happened

• Harvard began its time in Minneapolis by competing in the 200 medley relay. The Crimson foursome of Anthony Rincon, Joshua Chen, Aayush Deshpande and Sonny Wang registered a time of 1:25.81, which was a season-best by almost three seconds and fourth overall at the meet. California (1:24.03), Minnesota (1:25.43) and UNLV (1:25.61) went 1-2-3.
• Oliver Pilkinton, Zach Bartel, David Schmitt and Evan Croley competed in the 200 medley relay as Harvard B and registered a time of 1:26.75. Harvard C (Mert Iravul, Dylan Rhee, Jonathan Novinski, Marre Gattnar) finished the race in 1:29.53, while Harvard D (Nicola Hensch, Quinn Harron, Richard Poplawski III, Cameron Green) recorded a time of 1:30.75.
• In the final event of the day, Ben Littlejohn, David Greeley, Ardriano Arioti and Harris Durham guided Harvard to a third-place performance in the 800 free relay. Their time of 6:22.93 was a season best and trailed Cal (6:14.39) and Minnesota (6:21.92).
• The Crimson had two other quartets compete in the 800 free relay, with its B-team of Tristan Dalbey, Deshpande, Shane Washart and Gattnar turning in a time of 6:30.30, and its C-group (Poplawski, Anders Aistars, Eric Lee, Felipe Baffico) finishing in 6:35.34.
